Another new filter is coming to my Rich False Color IR Bundle—and you’ll get it automatically with the purchase of one of my cameras! It’s called Perfect Pink, and it sits beautifully in the pink-purple range.
Unlike Rusty Purple, which leans more into muted purple tones, Perfect Pink delivers a stronger, more consistent pink-rose palette, while still maintaining delicate color nuances. Lilac flowers will still appear lilac, yellow will still be yellow, and so on. And the sky will be a strong cyan-tinged blue.
This new filter also marks an important technical change in how I approach my IR conversions. From now on, I’ll be using a different internal conversion filter, meaning no additional glass filters will be needed—just the palette of Lee filters. This helps simplify the setup (fewer filters = fewer complications). And all styles will be SOOC (Straight Out of Camera). No channel mixer, no post-processing needed—just shoot JPEG or RAW (NEF), do a custom white balance (which is easy with every style), and enjoy beautiful results right away. Perfect for photography AND video.
The Rich False Color IR Bundle will now include (so far):
– Blue Trees (improved version)
– Red Trees
– Perfect Pink (new!)
– Rusty Purple
Aerochrome will be removed from the standard bundle and offered only occasionally as a special set. Why? The new internal filter setup makes consistent Aerochrome-style results harder to achieve across different camera models and sensors. I want to avoid disappointing customers by offering only styles that are guaranteed to work well. And all will be SOOC. If you’re still interested in Aerochrome, feel free to contact me directly—I’ll try to set you up. Limited Aerochrome models may appear from time to time on my eBay store.
That’s the update for now. The Rich False Color IR page will be refreshed soon.
