While a severe snowstorm blanketed the Swiss mountains last night (yes, in spring!), I was down below enjoying a much calmer scene—and putting the new blue setup for the Rich False Color IR conversion to the test.
I headed out just to snap a few shots and show how simple this setup really is. The results? Beautiful blue tones (even in a clouded setting), with zero hassle.
Here’s the best part: no external glass filter needed. I just used a converted camera and a Lee filter sheet, held right in front of the lens. That’s it.
UPDATE: Depending on the camera model, the Rich False Color IR conversion may require an additional glass filter. If that’s the case, it will be clearly mentioned in the eBay listing, and a 52mm filter will be included.
All the images you’ll see were captured like this—no post-processing, no tricks. Just point, shoot, and let the light do its thing. Easy. And just as I was wrapping up, the clouds parted and some blue sky showed up (last image).
UPDATE: And a video, shot with a Nikon D5000:
