I’ve always been searching for a false color IR style that produces yellow and golden trees—but without looking too uniformly yellow or gold. I wanted something with variation, ranging from yellow and gold to orange, even into purplish tones. And now, I’ve finally found it.
Let me introduce: Vivid Gold.
This will also be added to my Rich False Color IR Bundle, which will be included with my new cameras.
So far, the lineup includes:
– Lucid Blue (new name)
– Perfect Pink
– Rusty Purple
– Vivid Gold
Right now, I’m still on the hunt for the perfect red. I think the current version might be it—but maybe there’s still more potential. It just feels a bit too orange to me…
Let me show you some images of Vivid Gold—all JPEG, straight out of camera. All photos were taken with a Nikon D3000—Nikon’s latest and final CCD camera. It’ll be up for sale on my eBay soon, so keep an eye out!
UPDATE: And here’s a video, shot with a Nikon D5000:
