A narrow road winds through a dense forest where the foliage is rendered in vivid pink tones, with soft, filtered light and a pale blue sky visible through the canopy.
I finally had a bit of time and some sun today after a few rather changeable days. But that is exactly what I like, this mix of sun and rain, without it getting too hot.
For me, it is the best weather for photography. The clouds soften the light in a very pleasant way, and colors appear both gentle and clear. The air is clean, everything feels washed. Leaves, grass, even stones, free of dust and pollen, take on a subtle sheen. There is movement everywhere, a slight shimmer, and at the same time a sense of calm.
I went to the Glütschbach valley and was surprised by how much the landscape has changed. The small valley, which was once shaped by the Kander before it was diverted into Lake Thun, now feels more open.
Some trees have been cut, which allows more light in, and in many places new pools have formed. The water gathers quietly, reflects the sky, and creates small, almost hidden habitats. Here and there you notice details that might have gone unnoticed before, fine structures, reflections, small movements in the water.
I had my Perfect Pink filter combination on the camera, and I came away with some beautiful images. All of them are straight out of camera JPGs, with no channel swapping or edits in Photoshop.
What I really like about the Perfect Pink combination is the vivid saturation of the pink tones alongside a still (almost natural) blue sky and otherwise realistic colors, with subtle yellow hues in some leaves adding an extra layer of color.
